BEACH LAKE, PA — Zen Buddhism is a non-dogmatic, experiential, practice-oriented discipline. On Sunday, April 13 at 10:15 a.m., Rev. Seiso Paul Cooper will introduce the practice of “shikantaza” (just sitting meditation) and discuss Zen’s basic principles at the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship meeting at the Berlin Township Community Center. Rev. Seiso is co-founder, director and head teacher of the Two Rivers Zen Community in Honesdale. He is an ordained Zen priest and a meditation master. Seiso is also a practicing psychoanalyst and an award-winning author and poet. His publications include “Still Standing: Three Stones Haiku” and the critically acclaimed “The Zen Impulse and the Psychoanalytic Encounter.” Refreshments and a social time will follow this service.
