HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Historical Society (WCHS), 810 Main St., is working on new exhibits for the spring opening of the museum on Saturday, April 26. The new exhibits are titled “Mystery Portraits of Wayne County,” “Historic Floods of Wayne County,” and “Grandma’s Attic.”
The WCHS staff members are being assisted by a student from Wallenpaupack High School named Sal Zarzana. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Friends of Rachel club and the History Club. Zarzana is doing 12 hours of volunteer service.
The WCHS is always looking for volunteer help. If you are a student with volunteer hours to fill, a retiree in search of an adventure, someone who loves local history and/or someone who wants to give back to the community, contact Tammy Satter via email at wchs@ptd.net, by calling 570/253-3240, or stop in to sign up to volunteer.
