LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — An opening reception for “Saved by the Camera: Functional Farm Buildings from the Past,” an exhibition of barn and farm building photographs by LaVerne Black, will be held at Morgan Outdoors on Saturday, March 29 from 2 to 3 p.m. The exhibit is a sampling from two projects undertaken by Black and Town of Neversink Historian Carol Smythe. “Many times I have returned again to a favorite barn or old abandoned house,” said Black, “finding some had either been removed or fallen to the ravages of time and neglect. The importance of preserving our agricultural heritage began to take shape in my mind and my art.” Call 845/439-5507 and visit www.morgan-outdoors.com.
