DINGMANS FERRY, PA — The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) will present a garden series beginning on February 24. Participants will learn low-cost, easy ways to start seeds, create a butterfly garden and manage compost. The cost is $10 per session or $25 for all three sessions; pre-registration is requested.
Session 1, “Starting Seeds Inside,” will be held Sunday, February 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Discussion covers garden maps and starting “cold crop” seeds indoors. Other topics will be “Butterfly Gardens” on May 5, and “Composting” on July 27. Call PEEC at 570/828-2319.
