HONESDALE, PA — Transition Towns Honesdale and the Upper Delaware Chapter of the Weston-Price Foundation will hold a workshop on home processing of meat and sausage making on Sunday, November 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. Participants will learn basic cuts of the animal, how to pump and prime bacon and ham for smoking , lard rendering and sausage making. There will be samples to taste. The workshop will take place at Mike Hardler’s farm processing room, at 11 Hardler Farm Rd. Hardler will demonstrate on professional equipment as well as a small home kitchen grinder and hand stuffer. There is a suggested donation of $20. Call 570/251-7937.
