LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — The 21st annual kite festival will be held at Sullivan County Community College from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7. The first 200 children to arrive will receive a free kite.
The free event is a combination of high-flying recreation and local arts. While participants are invited to fly their own kites, crowds also gather to watch expert kite flying demonstrations. There will be children’s rides and games, craft vendors, fresh food, and music by the Top 40 cover band, Six Pack Joe.
