LIBERTY, NY — The 22nd annual Liberty Jazz Festival will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 7 p.m. in the middle school gymnasium (snow date is February 4). The festival will feature high school and middle school jazz ensembles from around Sullivan County.

This year’s clinician at the festival is Melissa Gardiner, an emerging jazz trombonist who has been described by Curtis Fuller as “technically creative and emotionally powerful. Her improvisation is inspiring and motivating for the listener, and she draws you in with a raw expression that directly relates to life experience.”

The clinic will take place from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Liberty Middle School gym. Admission for the event costs $3. For a family of five or more, the maximum price will be $15. Tickets will be on sale at the door.

For more information call 845/292-5400 X2020 or email dmcconnell@libertyk12.org.
