King of the Ice crowned in White Lake

WHITE LAKE, NY — “We have beautiful conditions, plenty of ice, an incredible sunny day and lots of kids, what more could we ask for?” Those words, spoken by Sullivan County Conservation Club (SCCC) secretary Jay Mendels last Sunday were echoed across the lake throughout the day.

New hotel slated for White Lake

WHITE LAKE, NY — The area has been booming since the opening of Bethel Woods in 2006, and now the Kauneonga Lake/White Lake area will see another surge in development. The Dream Hotel Group has announced it is launching a new lodging, the second of its Unscripted brand of hotels, to be called Unscripted Catskills, in White Lake.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s tricky tray

WHITE LAKE, NY — There will be a tricky tray to support the Sullivan & Orange Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, July 8, at White Lake Fire House, 1596 Route 17B. Doors open at 1 p.m., calling is at 3 p.m. Admission is a $2 donation. There will be raffle prizes, including a 32-inch flat-screen TV. Refreshments will be available.
