Sullivan Renaissance kicks off year 19

FERNDALE, NY — Hundreds of volunteers turned out to the CVI Building in Ferndale on January 9 to learn about grant opportunities and related information, as Sullivan Renaissance kicked off its 19th season.

Executive director Denise Frangipane told the volunteers that because of them the organization has expanded its scope.

Peace doves will mark the Woodstock 50th anniversary. 

County unveils peace doves

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — As a way of marking the 50th Anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Art Festival in 2019, Sullivan County has arranged for the creation of 36 fiberglass doves to be stationed in locations throughout the county in the New Year. The doves are each about five-feet high and seven-feet long and have yet to be painted.
