Wildcats honored at fall and winter sports awards ceremony

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — In almost back-to-back sports awards ceremonies, the scholar athletes of Livingston Manor Central School were center stage on March 20, just a few days after their counterparts from neighboring Roscoe Central School received their own well-deserved kudos on March 16.

The districts share an athletic director in the person of David Eggleton, the former athletic director at Sullivan West.

In a way to showcase the closely knit  communities, the sports awards presentations now take place at the end of each regular season of sports (fall, winter and spring), as well as year-end ceremonies. The last would honor the final sports season of each year, and combine it with a look back over the year, with appropriate awards given to  each school’s top student athletes.

In addressing the assembly at the Home of the Wildcats, Eggleton thanked the communities for their “tremendous support… the major role they play in the success of our young athletes, and being a part of our athletics programs here at Livingston Manor and Roscoe.”
