BETHEL, NY — On February 21, the Sullivan County Conservation Club crowned Monticello, NY’s 24-year-old Hayden Carnell as King of the Ice at the club’s 2021 annual ice fishing tournament held at the White Lake Fire Company. Carnell’s crown-worthy catch came in at 8.2 pounds and 26.5 inches, earning him a $500 cash prize and bragging rights for a year.
More than 400 folks competed and prizes were awarded in multiple categories. Families and friends hit the ice in droves to support the club and enjoy the gorgeous weather along with great food, safely distanced outdoor activities and raffles galore.
