NARROWSBURG, NY — “Lives Lived,” an exhibition of sculptural objects by Carole Loeffler, and “Between Something and Nothing,” an exhibit of paintings by Gregory Curry, will celebrate opening receptions on Saturday, October 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.

Both shows will be on display through October 26. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit delawarevalleyartsalliance.org or call 845/252-7576.

Callicoon

CALLICOON, NY — “Provocatively petrifying art materializes” on Friday, October 4. The opening reception of the Halloween-havoc-causing creations of Paul Plumadore and Pauline Glykokokalos will be held at Rafter’s Tavern from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Shohola

SHOHOLA, PA — Images of the Bust of Nefertiti and many other examples of Ancient Egyptian artwork, sculpture and jewelry will be on display for a celebration of Ancient Egyptian art on October 5 from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Artists’ Market Community Center located at 114 Richardson Ave. The exhibit will remain on display through October 15.

The reception will also include complimentary refreshments, works by local artists and a brief presentation on the art of Ancient Egypt. This free community event is sponsored by the Barryville Area Arts Association.
