HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO) elected new officers for the 2025-2027 term.
Peter Bocnovich will serve as president; James Donnelly has become the vice president; Anthony Herzog is the secretary; and Tina Diehl is the treasurer.
Among the goals for the next term is to create family-sustaining employment, to focus on infrastructure upgrades, and to collaborate regionally.
The background of the officers is in business, public policy and community development. They will also concentrate on a strategic plan this year, focusing on attracting private investment, supporting existing businesses and fostering opportunities in the modern economy.
The stated mission of WEDCO is to increase economic prosperity and improve the quality of life in the region.
“It’s an exciting time in Wayne County,” WEDCO executive director Justin Taylor. The Sterling Business & Technology Park offers accessible land, utilities and a business-friendly approach. “And our Stourbridge Tech Hub is bursting at the seams with innovative ventures, entrepreneurs, and training programs.”
The board of directors thanked outgoing president Wayne Stephens for his service and leadership.
