Webinar to cover best management practices in ag

ONLINE — To help agriculture professionals who are learning about agricultural conservation, the Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training, administered by Penn State Extension, is holding a webinar titled “Conservation Cornerstone: Ag Best Management Practices Value” from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26. Registration is required by 8:30 a.m. on November 26 is required to receive the link to the webinar.

The webinar is aimed at newer conservation district employees, agricultural conservation professionals and people associated with the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program or other conservation financial assistance programs.

The session will explore conservation fundamentals, including agricultural literacy, technical skills and professional etiquette. There will be a Q&A session too.

Participants can learn about agricultural best management practices, the social and economic impacts of best management practices on farms, and the challenges that could cause farmers to hesitate to adopt these practices.

Penn State Extension offers this event at no charge. A link to the recording will be emailed within 10 business days after the live event. The recording can be accessed for six months from the event date.
