Wayne County Sentencing Information June 17, 2021

Wayne County, PA — Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announces the following cases were addressed by the
Honorable Janine Edwards, President Judge Wayne County Court:

DENISE HOUSHOWER, age 48 of Lancaster Pa, was sentenced to 24 months probation for one
count of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition (M1). She was also ordered to pay the costs of
prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $720.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and
comply with any recommendations for treatment, and undergo a mental health evaluation and comply
with any recommendations for treatment. The incident occurred on October 6, 2014 in Salem
Township.


PAULA LOUISE MORANO, age 39 of Greentown Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in a
State Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 52 months nor more than 120 months for one
count of Aggravated Assault by Vehicle while Driving Under the Influence (F2), one count of Homicide
by Vehicle (F3), one count of Driving Under the Influence (M), and one count of Not Yield At Roadway
(S). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $25.00, pay
restitution in the amount of $17,144.67, participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction
treatment in accordance with her assessment, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program.
The incident occurred on December 26, 2019 in Berlin Township when the Defendant caused a
vehicle accident while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. Mr. Allen Branning suffered
serious injuries and Mrs. Margaret Branning died from injuries sustained in the accident.


PATRICIA ANN OSZEPINSKI, age 60 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in
the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 10 days nor more than 6 months
for one count of Retail Theft – Take Merchandise (M2), one count of Possession of Controlled
Substance (Methamphetamine (M), and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M). She
was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $80.00, undergo a
drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and undergo a
mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment. These incidents
occurred on July 5, 2020 in Texas Township and October 14, 2020 in Honesdale Borough.


ANDROTY PEREZ, age 29 of Studio City CA, was sentenced to 1 day to 16 days in the Wayne
County Correctional Facility for one count of Receiving Stolen Property (M3). He was also ordered to
pay the costs of prosecution, and pay a fine in the amount of $700.00. The incident occurred on
January 15, 2019 in Canaan Township.


CHRISTINA DAWN BENEDICT, age 26 of Honesdale Pa, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to
appear for a Parole Violation Hearing.

EMILY ANN MACK, age 29 of Gouldsboro Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in a State
Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 16 months nor more than 84 months for one count of
Involuntary Manslaughter (F2). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution. The incident
occurred on September 19, 2019 in Lehigh Township, when Willow Tompkins, age 3 months died
from multiple injuries related to Abusive Head Trauma, methamphetamine toxicity, and cocaine
exposure.


JAMES ERNEST SANDERSON, age 41 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to a fine in the amount of
$200.00 for one count of Bad Checks (M3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution and
pay a fine in the amount of $272.94. The incident occurred on November 12, 2020 in Honesdale
Borough.


JULIAN GERRIT VANDERMEER, age 31 of Lakewood Pa, was placed on the Accelerated
Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. He was also ordered to
pay all costs, have her driving privileges suspended for a period of 30 days, complete the Alcohol
Highway Safety Program, complete 20 hours of community service, and undergo a drug and alcohol
evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment. The incident occurred on November
18, 2020 in Honesdale Borough.
