Hurleyville

2 p.m.—Service at Morningside Park on County Route 52 (Brickman Road). All are invited.

Livingston Manor

8:30 a.m.-10 a.m.—Livingston Manor Central School will host a Veterans Day breakfast in the LMCS cafeteria. All Veterans in the Livingston Manor community and up to two guests are invited. Those who attend are asked to come through the front main entrance and sign in when they arrive. It’s a chance for students to speak to and learn from those who have served our country.

Saturday, November 9

Woodbourne

1 p.m.—The 26th annual Veterans Day Parade hosted by the Woodbourne Fire Department #1 at 355 Fire House Rd. Lineup is at 12 noon, and the parade kicks off at 1 p.m. Ceremony to follow with refreshments.

Monday, November 11

Eldred

11 a.m.—The Tusten-Highland-Lumberland VFW Post 6427 and the Sylvan-Liebla American Legion Post 1363 will hold a Veterans Day service at Heroes Park in Eldred, in honor of all Veterans.  Following the service, refreshments will be served, and the annual raffle will be held.

Grahamsville

11 a.m.—The Grahamsville Rural Cemetery will host a flag-raising ceremony, followed by a ceremony at the Neversink Town Hall, both on Route 55.

Kauneonga Lake

11 a.m.—Sgt. Andrew Brucher-Bailey Richman VFW Post 5499 will conduct Veterans Day services at the Veterans Park (Bethel Town Square) on Route 55. All Veterans and the public are invited. Organizers ask that you arrive by 10:45 a.m. 

Liberty

5 p.m. to 7 p.m.—Spaghetti and meatballs dinner at the Liberty Elks Lodge, 1545 Darbee Ln. Veterans eat free; the cost for all others is $8.

Long Eddy

11 a.m.—The Allan Milk Memorial VFW Post 7276 and Auxiliary, and the Callicoon VFW Post 5808 will honor all who served with a luncheon, basket raffle, 50/50 and T-shirts hosted at the Long Eddy Firehouse, 4 Church St.

Monticello

10:30 a.m.—Ceremony at the Sullivan County Government Center (in the lobby), 100 North St. Ceremony includes the New York State Police and Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard with American Legion Post 73 and local first responders. The public is invited.

Port Jervis

The City of Port Jervis will hold its annual Veterans Day parade. Lineup begins at 9:30 a.m. at East Main and Penn Avenue. Step-off is at 10:30 a.m. and a ceremony will follow at 11 a.m. at Orange Square Park, 1 N. Broome St. 

Summitville

9 a.m.—Summitville Firehouse, 3978 Rte. 209, will host a service conducted by the Edward M. Maier VFW Post 4947. 

Wurtsboro

8 a.m.—Service held by the Edward M. Maier Memorial VFW Post 4947 at 26 VFW Rd., followed by an 11 a.m. service at the Ellenville Elks Lodge at 50 State Rte. 55 in Napanoch.

Pennsylvania

Saturday, November 9

Dingmans Ferry

3 p.m.-7 p.m.—The American Legion Post 851 Veterans Day dinner, 107 Ball Park Rd. For Veterans and their families. 

Monday, November 11

Lackawaxen

10:30 a.m.—Ecker Haupt VFW Post 5635 will hold its annual Veterans Day service at 10:30 a.m. at the VFW post, 5635 Rte. 590.

Pleasant Mount

11 a.m.—Pleasant Mount Legion Post #964 will host a time of remembrance and fellowship at the Pleasant Mount Community Center, 377 Great Bend Tpk. A hot lunch will follow.
