HONESDALE, PA — Two new exhibitions are opening on Thursday, October 9 at the Wayne County Arts Alliance (WCAA): “Good People” and “Home (Inspired).” An artists’ reception will be held Friday, October 10 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
“Good People” can be found in the main gallery on the first floor. The exhibition is curated by Dan Nelson, and offers work ranging from illustration, painting, ceramics and photography to mixed media. “Good People” is described as a “celebration of those who make, do and inspire in the studio and beyond.”
“Home (Inspired),” found in the Member’s Gallery on the second floor, is curated by Maura Doern Danko. The works involve the idea of home—both as a tangible space and as a site of memory, intimacy and imagination. It explores the many meanings of home through a variety of artistic approaches, including sculpture, woodworking and painting.
Gallery hours are Thursdays through Sundays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Exhibitions run through November 21.
The arts alliance is located at 959 Main St.
