Two arrested for narcotic sales in Monticello

Heroin, fentanyl, crack cocaine and more seized during investigation

MONTICELLO — On Thursday March 27, 2025 at approximately 6:00 am, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Gang and Narcotics Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at 4 Roosevelt Place in the Village of Monticello. The search warrant was obtained as a result of a month long investigation with the Village of Monticello Police Department into narcotic sales at that location. Entry to the residence was made by the Sheriff’s Emergency Services Unit with support from a Sheriff’s K-9 and a State Police K-9 unit.

Gerod S. Mobley, 45, and Angela L. Moeller, 42, were taken into custody without incident. Deputies seized a quantity of heroin, fentanyl, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency.

Both suspects were charged with:

  •  (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance  3rd  degree (B Felony)
  •  Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance   4th (C Felony)
  • -Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance   7th (Misdemeanor)
  •  Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd(Misdemeanor)

The suspects were arraigned before Village of Monticello Justice Doug Solomon. Angela Moeller was released on an appearance ticket. Gerod Mobley, who has 4 prior felony convictions, was sent to the Sullivan County Jail without bail. Agents from Homeland Security Investigations assisted in the investigation. The search warrant was prepared by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.
