On Sunday, April 6, before our April club meeting, members who were able to attend had a great time painting Easter suncatchers with 23 residents at Ellen Memorial. Members set up paint palettes with spring colors and with brushes in hand, and each member assisted a resident in painting their suncatcher. Each resident then took their creation to decorate their window for Easter. Everyone had a great time!
Following our painting project, we had our April meeting. We discussed our upcoming community service projects for spring and started planning our Election Day Bake Sale fundraiser. On May 20 from noon to 8 p.m., our club will hold a bake sale to help fund our community service projects and club activities.
Five members also presented their yearly demonstrations. We learned about Amish folks, Porsche sports cars, goat breeds, how to sketch a human face, and about sprinting shoes worn for track.
