Sometimes a rural bridge fits so well it seems timeless as the river—as befits our 1902 Milanville bridge, viewed from a local farm, with snow as a backdrop.
Before Christmas, PennDOT demolished a beautiful 1904 truss bridge at Pond Eddy, about 30 miles down river. Only our Milanville Bridge survives from this era within the 75 mile Upper Delaware Scenic River corridor.
