And that is a wrap on the school year! Seems like just yesterday we were complaining about the snow and cold, and now the Fourth of July weekend is quickly coming up. Wishing you all a healthy and safe holiday.

Don’t forget that a Fourth of July tradition returns to Narrowsburg. The Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce and the Tusten Youth Commission will co-host a family-friendly celebration at Fireman’s Field on Monday, July 4 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Find out more at https://welcometonarrowsburg.com/fourth-of-july.

It’s that time again: Sound the alarm. Save a life. The need has never been greater. Your donation has the power to save up to three lives.

Join the Lake Huntington Fire Company and the American Red Cross to give blood at the fire house on July 6. The blood drive lasts from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Most medications will not disqualify you, so sign up to save lives now.  Set up an appointment online at https://tinyurl.com/lhfcblooddrivejuly2022.

Come out and meet the members of the Cochecton Ambulance Corp and compete in their first annual cornhole tournament. It takes place, rain or shine,  on Saturday July 23 at the Lake Huntington Fire House. Practice and registration starts at 11 a.m. and the tournament begins at 12 noon.

It’s that time of year again. It’s time to get yourself ready for the 24th annual Delaware Youth Center 5K/10K River Run & Walk. This year’s race is scheduled for Sunday, July 24. Not only will the race lead you along the gorgeous Delaware River, but it’s also the center’s biggest fundraiser. By signing up, you’re literally running to help them.

You can run a 5K, run a 10K, walk a 5K, or do it all virtually. The Gary A Winglovitz Virtual Run allows runners to join from anywhere. Choose your distance, choose your course, and be part of this great race even if you aren’t in Callicoon on July 24, or won’t be able to get to the youth center for the 8:30 a.m. start.

Learn more at https://www.delawareyouthcenter.org/, and thank you for supporting the Delaware Youth Center.

Our condolences are with the family and friends of Paul Genco, who passed away on June 15. Paul was surrounded by family, and put up an incredible fight. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
