A joint investigation by the Pike County Detectives, Pennsylvania State Police, Eastern Pike Regional, and the Pike County Coroner’s office has resulted in the arrest of 3 individuals on heroin trafficking charges which resulted in 3 separate Deaths. The deceased are Jennifer Lynn Bosch, age 27, Deniz “Nicole” Duman, age 32, and Erna Lee Abramowski, age 50.

According to the charges, three deaths occurred in Pike County, Pennsylvania between November 26, 2017 and December 14, 2017.  According to Pike County Coroner Christopher Brighton all three deaths were a result of mixed drug toxicity.  Evidence collected at all three apparent drug overdoses consisted of drug related paraphernalia, including glassine packets all marked with the same packaging stamp “Sinaloa”.

Between December 2017 and January 2018, in Delaware Township, Pike County Detectives conducted three controlled purchases of heroin utilizing a confidential informant from Katie Woolsey, 31, currently incarcerated in the Pike County Correctional Facility.  During two of the purchases, the packets of heroin purchased had the same stamp, and name as the heroin that was found at the three overdose deaths in the area. Pike County Detectives sent the suspected heroin to the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Laboratory for testing. The results for the first two purchases were positive for heroin, as well acetyl fentanyl, and fentanyl. The last purchase of heroin tested positive for heroin, fentanyl and tramadol.

In December, 2017, Pike County Detectives interviewed a witness, regarding the overdose of Jennifer Bosch. She related she and Bosch traveled to Lisa Schmidt’s, 47, of Bushkill, residence in November 2017, three days prior to one of the victim’s deaths. While they were at Schmidt’s residence, Woolsey arrived and sold four packets of heroin to Lee and the victim. In May of 2018, Schmidt admitted she would purchase heroin from Woolsey, and also set up drug deals acting as the middle person. Schmidt also admitting obtaining the specific heroin found at the overdose scenes.

In February of 2018, Katie Woolsey was pulled over for traffic violation by the Pennsylvania State Police at the Dingmans Bridge in Delaware Township. Woolsey was found in possession of 110 glassine packets of suspected heroin and was subsequently arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver.   Woolsey was interviewed by Pike County Detectives and related that she did sell “product” and was familiar with the stamp that was located at all three overdose deaths in the area because she had sold that specific stamp for approximately 2 months.  Woolsey also admitted she traveled to Lisa Schmidt’s residence sometime in November to deliver heroin, and has been dealing heroin to her for the past 2 to 2 ½ years.  Woosley was also aware the heroin she had sold to Schmidt contained Fentanyl because her dealer in Paterson, New Jersey had told her.  She advised people she was selling the specifically stamped heroin to, that the batch was strong.

In April 2018, Pike County Detectives and the Pennsylvania State Police interviewed Gianna Rose, age 21, currently incarcerated in the Pike County Correctional Facility, in regards to a series of messages between her and two of the victims, Duman and Abramowski.  Rose related she acted as a middle person to set up the heroin deals between 2 of the victim’s. Rose related Woolsey would give Rose a few bags of heroin as compensation for the heroin sales.  After an execution of a search warrant for Gianna Rose’s cell phone and Facebook, messages were recovered from 2 of the victims about meeting up and purchasing drugs.   During these two transactions both Rose and Woolsey admit the specific heroin stamp they were delivering was the same stamp that was found at the overdose scenes.
