GALILEE, PA — The Unity Grange Hall has qualified for a matching grant to give the front of the hall a facelift—and now they need to raise $5,000.
The grange houses many events. Maybe you vote there, or bought baked goods to support local 4-H clubs. It has a long-standing history in Galilee, and is a well loved building where the community unites.
The outside of the building is currently at the top of the list for repairs. This fall, the new roof will be placed on the alcove, and the leaks will go goodbye. New windows for each side of the hall will be in place in the coming weeks.
But the grange needs your help too.
Donations are being collected by the grange’s fiscal sponsors, the Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF), and those gifts are tax deductible. Donations are also being collected by the grange itself; those pay off the “new” furnace.
And watch these pages in October for upcoming fundraisers.
For a donation through the WCCF, send a check (with Unity Grange Fund written in the memo) to Wayne County Community Foundation, 918 Church St., Honesdale PA 18431.
To help pay off the furnace (donations are not tax deductible), mail it to Unity Grange #1710 c/o 133 Galilee Rd., Tyler Hill, PA 18469.
Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated! And the Unity Grange thanks you in advance.
Visit the grange on Facebook at Unity Grange1710.
