MILFORD, PA — Kindred Spirits Arts Programs will present New York Polyphony in a holiday concert at the Milford Theatre on December 10 at 7 p.m. Dubbed “the Fab Four of early music,” the male quartet will perform a program that ranges from Lionel Power (1375-1445) to Andrew Smith (b. 1970), a composer with deep roots in Gregorian chant and other forms of early vocal music. The group will sing English medieval carols and other religious songs of the season.

The group features countertenor Geoffrey Williams, tenor Geoffrey Silver, baritone Christopher Dylan Herbert and bass Craig Phillips. Gramophone Magazine named “I Sing the Birth,” the group’s debut CD in 2007, “one of the season’s best,” and BBC Music Magazine selected it as the Editor’s Christmas Choice.

The cost is $20 for adults, free for children under 12. Tickets are available at www.kindredspiritsprograms.org and at Books and Prints, 220 Broad Street, 570/409-1269.
