TEXAS TOWNSHIP, PA — Harbor Freight Tools is moving into the retail space vacated by Gordman’s Department Store at Route 6 Mall. Township secretary Joanne Hancock said, “Although Harbor Freight had made preliminary inquiries of our code enforcement officer, it was WNEP TV News that alerted us to the move; they noticed a help wanted ad placed by Harbor Freight on social media, with the Route 6 Mall address shown as place of employment.”
Harbor Freight Tools is a national retail chain specializing in construction tools and materials.
The Texas Township Board of Supervisors announced at its April 5 meeting that the township’s annual Spring Cleanup Day will be Saturday, May 22. Township residents may bring bulk household items to the township office for free disposal with the following exceptions: no tires, no appliances and no U-Haul-type trucks and trailers laden with disposables.
