HAWLEY, PA — The Teeter family is celebrating a milestone anniversary. Recently, PA state Sen. Lisa Baker and Rep. Jeff Olsommer presented citations to Julie and Dick Teeter on behalf of Teeters’ Furniture and Teeters’ Funeral Chapel
The Teeters were honored for their long standing in the community and their valuable services to generations in Pike and Wayne counties.
Founded in 1849 by cabinetmaker Richard Adam Teeter, Teeters’ Furniture and Teeters’ Funeral Chapel have been serving Hawley and the surrounding area for 175 years. Currently owned and operated by Richard Adam Teeter and his daughter, Julia Teeter-Seiler, the family and both businesses “have earned a strong reputation for the highest quality of service and have become an integral part of the community,” a spokesperson said.
