LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — SUNY Sullivan has been notified that a first-year nursing student has tested positive for COVID-19 at an off-campus facility. The student is isolating at home and the college is working with Sullivan County Public Health Department to undertake contact tracing.
One SUNY Sullivan staff member and four other nursing students are known to have been in contact with this individual, and they are being tested off campus and are quarantining at home. In light of this news, the college is cancelling the remaining nursing clinical classes that were to run on campus through the end of this week. Respiratory care courses will continue to run on campus through December 10.
