Sullivan Parade of Heroes for healthcare workers

Posted

HARRIS and CALLICOON, NY -- At about 7:15 pm on April 10, a line of emergency vehicles - fire trucks, ambulances, police cars -- turned on their lights and sirens and paraded up the hill that leads to Catskill Regional Medical Center in what the county called a Parade for Heroes.

The parade was meant to honor the front-line healthcare workers who have been battling the novel coronavirus.  It seemed that almost all emergency vehicles in the county took part in the parade, and  there was a similar event at the Grover M. Hermann Hospital in  Callicoon.

As of April 10 in Sullivan County, there were 323 confirmed cases of COVID-19, seven deaths, and 132 people have recovered from the illness.
