Sullivan BOCES to move offices

LIBERTY, NY — Sullivan Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) announced plans to relocate several departments and divisions from Wierk Avenue in Liberty, to the Liberty Mall. Formerly Sullivan’s Department Store, the Liberty Mall, is located at 15 Sullivan Ave. in Liberty.

BOCES anticipates that its curriculum and instructional supports services, management services, adult education, administration, grant funded programs, and its conference center facilities will be moved to the new location.

According to Robert M. Dufour, superintendent of BOCES, “The relocation will allow BOCES to accommodate the expansion of the management and support services offered to our component school districts. The new facility will be more accommodating for individuals attending meetings and professional development workshops with everything located in one contiguous space on the ground floor. In addition, more parking will be available.”

It is anticipated that the move will take place at the beginning of 2020, with the staggering of office relocations to accommodate optimum workflow and minimize downtime for the school districts that BOCES serves. All offices are expected to be at the new facility by June 30, 2020.
