On October 11, 2013 at approximately 12:15am, State Police at Liberty were called to the Kutsher's Resort Hotel in the Town of Thompson for a report of a woman who had fallen from the roof of one of the hotel buildings.
An investigation revealed that Megan Dunleavy, age 21 of Redding, Connecticut had fallen accidentally from the five story roof of one of the hotel buildings and succumbed to her injuries. No foul play is suspected.
Dunleavy had been staying at Kutsher's while working for concert promoter Damn Sam Productions and assisting in the the organization and planning of the New York Harvest Festival and Freedom Fair, scheduled for October 11th through 14th. She was a senior at Hartwick College studying chemistry.
