GLEN SPEY, NY — Burn Brae Mansion, described as “one of the region’s most historic and haunted estates,” will offer Halloween-worthy events from murder mysteries to its Dark Forest trail, and an exclusive first-ever Halloween Night tour.
“We look forward to October all year long,” said Andy Russ, president of Dark Forest Creations and co-owner of Burn Brae Mansion. “With Halloween falling on a Friday, we have jam-packed weekends of spine-tingling activities planned, including our eerily educational Secrets of the Dark Forest tour—a brand new attraction.”
Built in 1907, Burn Brae Mansion operates as a year-round bed & breakfast, and is available for overnight stays, private paranormal investigations and special events.
The next event is “Dark Forest 2025: The Experiments of Dr. Moreau,” taking place on Saturday, October 11 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Now in its 32nd year, the Dark Forest Fright Trail returns with a new theme inspired by H.G. Wells’ chilling tale. “Guests will step into a world where twisted science and primal fear collide, encountering half-human, half-beast creatures, the terrifying remnants of Dr. Moreau’s unspeakable experiments,” a Burn Brae press release reads.
The evening will also feature live music by Chris Raabe, with special guest opener Mike Edison.
