MONTICELLO and WHITE LAKE, NY — The Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra (SCCO) opens its 2025-2026 season with an evening of chamber music “that blends wit, depth and discovery,” the SCCO said. The concert, titled, “Light and Dark”, features the music of Haydn, Price and Beethoven. The performances take place on Saturday, October 11 at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 15 St. John St. in Monticello, and Sunday, October 12 at 3 p.m. at the Reformed Presbyterian Church of White Lake, 6 Mattison Road in White Lake.
The program “offers audiences a journey from Haydn’s playful brilliance, through Price’s lyrical vision, to Beethoven’s searing intensity,” a press release reads. Performers include SCCO co-founder Akiko Hosoi (violin), Naho Parrini (violin), Chiu-Chen Liu (viola) and Alberto Parrini (cello).
This program is made possible in part by funding from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Gov. Kathleen Hochul and the New York State Legislature, the Sullivan County Youth Bureau and Episcopal Charities.
