Salvation Army helps families in need

MONTICELLO, NY — On December 21, many Families in need in Sullivan County arrived at the Monticello Firehouse to pick up holiday gifts, food and clothing donated by the Salvation Army.

While Christmas is the most visible time of the year for the Salvation Army, assistance is offered to families throughout the year through its mobile ministry vehicle. Food, clothing, furniture and other assistance are given to hundreds every year.

“We are so pleased to be able to help so many at this holiday season. To know the joy that will be felt by the children as they open their gifts makes all the effort worthwhile,” said the army’s Sullivan County Ministry Outreach Coordinator Nicole Fullop. To contact the Sullivan County Salvation Army for further assistance call Fullop at 908/447-7726 or Nicole.fullop@use.salvationarmy.org.
