Throughout the month of October, we asked our readers to tell us, in one sentence, why they support the candidate of their choice.

Charles A. Rubin of Lake Huntington, NY

I support Joe Biden because I believe in his empathy and his ability to relate to all citizens due to the personal trials he’s endured.

Star Hesse of Narrowsburg, NY

I am voting for Jen Metzger so that all New Yorkers will continue to benefit from the strong, intelligent, compassionate advocacy and leadership she has so amply displayed in her first term as our District 42 State Senator.

Janie Heath of Barryville, NY

I support Biden because he has the decency and common sense to unite Americans, and clear plans online to lower healthcare costs and create jobs.

Stephen Stuart of Narrowsburg, NY

I support Jen Metzger because Jen is a leader who is smart, strong, compassionate, and shows up in her district to learn what her constituents need.

Afi Phoebe of Narrowsburg, NY

I support my candidate because Dr. King once mentioned about the content of one’s character and such weighs heavily in: being ethical, believing in the American mosaic, best practices and respect towards one’ constituents.
