SULLIVAN COUNTY — The Sullivan County Legislature approved $54,100 in the first round of the Plans & Progress program.
A second round of funding, with $45,900 available, will be awarded. Applications for those funds are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 6.
The Plans & Progress program will grant up to $10,000 per group to assist local municipalities, community groups and nonprofit organizations throughout Sullivan County. Projects should involve tourism, community and economic development, image enhancement, trails development, health improvement, agricultural and farmland protection and other community goals.
Completed applications can be submitted electronically or delivered to the Division of Planning and Community Development, County Government Center, 100 North Street, Monticello, NY 12701.
Applications will be accepted until all funds are committed.
The program guidelines and the application form are available on the county website at sullivanny.us, under Planning/Community Development and Housing.
