PIKE COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) will conduct four public input hearings concerning Pike County Light and Power Company's general rate increase requests.
In person public hearings will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Milford Township Building, 560 Route 6 and 209, Milford.
Telephonic public input hearings will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18. To pre-register, either email Christina Biggica at cbiggica@pa.gov or call 717/783-5453 and provide the following information: your first and last name; the phone number you will be using to call in; and a phone number and email address at which you can be contacted.
To participate in the hearing, dial 866/675-3641 and enter the pin number 37082098. Speak your name when prompted, and press #. The PUC judge will call on you.
Exhibits for the hearing can be emailed to mguhl@pa.gov and alphonarno@pa.gov, and must be received by Monday, March 17 at noon.
Under the proposed rate increases, residential customers would see an approximately 11.6% increase in their electricity bills, with a customer using 647 kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity per month seeing their monthly bill rise from $134.29 to $149.81. Residential customers would see an approximately 44.4% increase in their cost of their gas, with a heating customer using 80 hundred cubic feet (CCF) of gas per month seeing their bill rise from $135.78 to $196.08.
