Paula Kay is the right person to represent us in the NYS Assembly. I am not the only one who believes this. Paula has the support of law enforcement organizations like the New York State Police Investigators Association, the Sullivan County Patrolman’s Benevolent Association (PBA), the PBA of the NYS Troopers, the Town of Fallsburg PBA and the PBA of the City of New York. They support Paula because they know she will provide our police agencies with the resources they need to keep us safe. 

Health care groups like the New York State Nurses Association and 1199 SEIU have endorsed Paula because they recognize she will protect the health care workers who work tirelessly to care for our communities. Environmental groups such as the New York League of Conservation Voters and the Hudson Valley Common Ground PAC support her because she is committed to safeguarding Sullivan County’s greatest asset—our environment. 

Eleanor’s Legacy and Planned Parenthood NYS Votes PAC are backing Paula because she will fight to preserve and expand women’s reproductive health care. And the carpenters’, laborers’ and electricians’ unions have endorsed Paula because they trust her to lead efforts in building infrastructure and affordable housing throughout Sullivan County and District 100. 

I support Paula because I saw firsthand her intellect, compassion and determination when she represented me as supervisor, along with our entire town as our town attorney. Many of our town’s successes were a result of our collaboration, and I am grateful for her service to the Town of Fallsburg. For over 20 years, she provided that same stewardship to the Town of Thompson, enabling millions of dollars in development and creating thousands of jobs. 

For the past 20-plus years, Sullivan County has been fortunate to have Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther. Whether it was passing meaningful legislation, securing funding for our fire departments and infrastructure, or delivering vital constituent services, Aileen Gunther was always there. Paula understands how to honor Aileen’s legacy, and continue her important work while additionally addressing the changing needs of our community going forward. 

I thank Aileen Gunther for her leadership and representation and I thank her also for supporting and endorsing Paula Kay to carry forward her tremendous legacy. This Election Day, I will proudly cast my vote for, my friend Paula Kay in the 100th District New York State Assembly race, and I urge all of my 100th District neighbors to do the same.
