MONTICELLO, NY — Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) will provide a free information session on pre-diabetes risk and diabetes prevention on Thursday, November 1 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Catskill Regional Medical Group office, 38 Concord Rd.
The session is for the people to learn about pre-diabetes, how to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes and the CRMC Diabetes Prevention Program. Light refreshments will be served.
CRMC has adopted the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention’s National Diabetes Prevention Program, which offers a scientifically-proven and effective lifestyle enhancement program that can help prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. It is based on research that showed that people with pre-diabetes who lost just 5% to 7% of their body weight through modest changes reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58%.To RSVP for the session call 845/794-3300, ext. 2106.
