I am the incumbent Democratic Pike County Commissioner. A lifelong resident of the Greentown area and Palmyra Township, I bring a strong commitment to Pike County and the welfare of its residents. A highly respected and accomplished attorney, I operated a private practice in the Hawley area for 30 years, and served 12 years as an assistant district attorney for Pike County, where I headed the child-abuse task force. I was also an assistant public defender for two years.
Deeply committed to children’s issues, I represented Pike County Children and Youth Services for four years and was a guardian for abused and neglected children for a decade. I am also a member and was the initial chairman of the Northeast Citizens Review Panel, a 12-county association that aims to improve the policies and procedures of Pennsylvania’s child welfare system.
As Pike County Commissioner, I have been active with the opioid task force and the tick-borne-diseases task force. I also co-chair the county’s reentry coalition, which seeks to reduce recidivism by supporting returning citizens as they transition to their communities after incarceration. I currently serve as chairman of the Pike County United Way.
