I was born in Staten Island, NY in 1957 and moved to Pike County, Pennsylvania in 1974, where I still reside with my wife, Carol. I am a 1983 Penn State graduate with a B.A. in history. I served on the Milford Borough Council from 1987 to 2011, serving as council president from 1990 to 2011. I ran for Pike County commissioner and today serve as Pike County commissioner chairman.

I have published five books relating to local history within Pike County and in the neighboring city of Port Jervis, NY. In 1999, I received the Heritage Award from the Upper Delaware Heritage Alliance, and in 2002, I received a proclamation from the city of Port Jervis.

I have also been heavily involved in various community organizations. I have served as fundraising chairman for Saint Patrick’s Church, director of the Minisink Valley Historical Society, member of the Pike County Republican Committee, Milford Enhancement Committee, Historical Preservation Trust of Pike County and several other local organizations.

Addressing the EMS issue is the most important one in the county. Currently proving emergency services is the obligation of the boroughs and townships, but the issue is so large that many local leaders have asked the county for help.

We have been working with the municipalities to assist in finding a solution, but the solutions will take some changes in legislation to allow counties to assist. The county leadership in the commonwealth (CCAP) has already begun to work on solutions.
