HONESDALE, PA — The popular art installation Paper Caves at Basin and Main at Lot 21 will close on Sunday, February 17, with a final chance to see the caves and an opportunity to bid on pieces of the wall.

The installation will be available for viewing Saturday and Sunday, February 9 and 10 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. The reception and silent auction will take place on Sunday, February 17 from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

Paper Caves, by artist Samuelle Green, has been up since August 2017 at the pop-up art gallery on Main Street. Events, including dances, have been held in the space surrounded by the rolled up book pages in coral-reef like patterns. “I’m always interested in the details we pass by every day and often do not give a second thought to: a bird’s nest, a beehive, mud wasp’s intricately made homes, spider webs, dandelions, a piece of dust, a blade of grass,” Green told TRR in April 2017, about her inspiration for the project.
