PA schools to remain closed for additional two weeks

Posted

WAYNE COUNTY — The PA Department of Education (PDE) has announced that all schools in the commonwealth will remain closed through at least April 6 as the state fights the outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Unless the closures are extended, schools are to reopen on April 7, to give adminstrators, teachers and staff time to prepare the classrooms, set up cafeterias and schedule transportation.

Students will return to school on April 9, unless the state deems it necessary to keep schools closed even longer to protect against spreading the virus.
