LIBERTY, NY — As part of its annual concert series, Shandelee Music Festival (SMF) has conducted an Outreach program that has presented over 75 concerts who do not have an opportunity to attend a live classical performance. This year’s Outreach took place at the Care Center at Sunset Lake (formerly the Sullivan County Adult Care Center). on August 15, featuring bassoonist William Beecher and pianist John Bernstein.

Beecher is a bassoonist from Long Island and currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Hartford. Bernstein currently holds a position on the music faculty at Monticello High School, where he teaches classes in Piano performance and pedagogy, performance skills, music technology, and brass lessons. He also works as the Youth and Outreach Director for the SMF. The August 15 concert included music by Elgar, Grovlez and Mozart.
