North American Cultural Laboratory announces its 2019 season

HIGHLAND LAKE, NY — North American Cultural Laboratory (NACL Theatre) announces its 2019 season, called “SUMMERSALT,” featuring three new series.

“Theatre on Thursdays” features original works by some of NYC’s most intrepid downtown theatre artists. NACL provides each group with a week-long residency in its Cultural-Laboratory space. After the show is a sit-down “Salon Supper” to meet and mingle with the artists, featuring food prepared by Callicoon’s Café Adella Dori.

On Saturdays, “Alive & Streaming” will feature live music accompanied by a full battery of video projection, light shows and more. Audiences can come see the bands live in the theatre or watch a live-stream online.

‘Qualia Holometaboly’ art installation-performance

HURLEYVILLE, NY — The Hurleyville Arts Centre will present “Qualia Holometaboly” by Ximena Garnica and Shige Moriya, featuring the LEIMAY Ensemble. The installation-performance consists of a series of kinetic string-sculptures powered by three members of the LEIMAY Ensemble with an original sound score by Jeremy D. Slater.

The free performance will take place on Saturday, June 22 at 6 p.m. A workshop, “From Water to Becoming,” led by Ximena Garnica will take place the following day, Sunday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. The workshop costs $20. Participants will explore movement, imagination and transformation—no dance experience is necessary.

‘Made in 1969’ and ‘Bungalow’

NARROWSBURG, NY — The opening reception for two group exhibitions will take place at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance on Saturday, June 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. The exhibits “Made in 1969” and “Bungalow” will be on display until Saturday, August 3.

Delaware Valley Opera season opening gala

CALLICOON, NY — On Saturday, June 22 at 7 p.m., the Delaware Valley Opera is hosting an evening of music and food at Delaware Youth Center to showcase a taste of this season’s upcoming productions. Tickets cost $40 per person or $75 for two and can be purchased at the door.

Enchanted cooking class in Jeff
