SWAN LAKE, NY — Sullivan County’s Office for the Aging warmly invites the community to attend its annual public hearing and Senior Resource Fair on Wednesday, October 15, to be held at the brand new terminal at Sullivan County International Airport off County Route 183 (Airport Road) near Swan Lake.
“This is an important and exciting day for our older adults in Sullivan County, who simultaneously can give us their feedback on services while accessing local resources they need and want,” said Office for the Aging Director Lise-Anne Deoul. “It’s a fun, free event with refreshments available. All we ask is that people pre-register by October 8!”
Pre-registration—and requests for transportation and/or special accommodations—can be made at 845/807-0243.
Since staff will be at the airport that day to prepare and run the Hearing and Fair, the Office for the Aging inside the Government Center will be closed the whole day of Wednesday, October 15.
“We will be at full staffing on all other days of that week, so I encourage people to stop by Monday the 13th, Tuesday the 14th, Thursday the 16th or Friday the 17th, avoiding the 15th altogether,” Deoul added. “Thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding!”
For more information, the office welcomes calls at 845/807-0241.
