LIBERTY, N.Y. — New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG) is working with New York State Assemblywoman Paula Elaine Kay and New York State Senator Peter Oberacker to host a Community Connection Event on February 27. The Company will offer a morning and evening session at the Sullivan County Government Center Hearing Room, at which customers will have the opportunity to connect directly with customer service representatives in person.
“We recognize that the winter heating season can be a challenge for many of our customers,” said Christine Alexander, vice president of Customer Service for NYSEG and RG&E. “We want to be able to meet customers where they are and offer more opportunities for them to talk with us and ask questions to get help with their account needs.”
Customer service representatives will be able to review bills, offer energy efficiency tips and information on smart meters. The Company encourages customers to meet with their teams to review their specific questions one-on-one.
“I’m happy to partner with Assemblywoman Kay to host essential customer service meetings between NYSEG and our shared constituents,” said New York State Senator Peter Oberacker. “These meetings offer a direct opportunity for community members to discuss their energy costs with company representatives.
“Thank you to NYSEG for pulling this community event together so quickly,” said New York State Assemblywoman Paula Elaine Kay. “I am grateful that the executives at NYSEG understand the importance of a thorough analysis at this time, as well as the enormous impact a much larger and unexpected bill could have on an individual’s living situation.”
Customer service representatives will be available to answer billing questions and help customers understand their usage during the winter heating months and provide resources and services that can help customers manage their monthly energy use.
