Paula Kay (D), who is running for Assembly in the 100th District, announced that she has received the endorsement of the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York (PBA).
“On behalf of the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York, it is my pleasure to announce our endorsement of your candidacy in the New York State Assembly in the 100th Assembly District,” said PBA president Patrick Henry in a statement. “Your commitment to addressing the issues affecting New York City police officers is well recognized, and it would be an honor to have you representing our members in the Assembly. We look forward to working with you towards our shared goal of a stronger, safer New York.”
“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of the PBA,” said Kay. “Our police officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe, and I am committed to ensuring they have the resources, protections and respect they deserve. Together, we will work to build a safer, fairer New York for all.”
The PBA endorsement highlights Kay’s strong track record on issues important to law enforcement and her focus on public safety reforms that balance justice with security. As a candidate, Kay has emphasized the need for common-sense reforms to bail laws, ensuring that judges have the discretion to protect the public while maintaining fairness in the criminal justice system.
Kay has also been endorsed by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s PBA, the Town of Fallsburg PBA, the New York State Investigators Association and the New York State Troopers.
Kay is an attorney with a 30-year background working in New York City and in state and local governments. As a town Prosecutor, she prosecuted thousands of vehicle, traffic, code enforcement and building violations.
