LIBERTY, NY — The new Ahava Medical & Rehabilitation & Urgent Care Center held a grand opening on November 27. It’s located at 25 Carrier St. in the Village of Liberty alongside the refurbished Arcadia Home for Adults.
The facility is situated on the site of the former Liberty Maimonides Hospital, which closed in 1977. Ahava is a for-profit facility and will therefore pay property taxes. It has about 60 full-time employees and there are plans to hire more in the near future.
Ahava offers family medicine, pediatrics, OBGYN, physical therapy, rehabilitation and urgent care services. The organization also has facilities in the Flatbush and Williamsburg areas of Brooklyn.
