NORTHEAST PA — The Northeast Pennsylvania Audubon Society is offering a full scholarship for an adult and a related child to attend “family camp” on Hog Island in Maine this summer from August 11 to 16.
The camp is open to children ages eight to 13, and one of the participants must be from Wayne, Pike, Susquehanna, or Lackawanna County.
Eric Snyder, a member of the camp’s staff, will present information about Hog Island on February 12 at the Wayne County Public Library in Honesdale from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Snyder will discuss the island, including information about puffins and camping.
