NARROWSBURG, NY — According to videos and photographs posted to his social media accounts, Edward “Jake” Lang, formerly of Narrowsburg, joined fellow Trump supporters in the demonstration that led to the storming of the Capitol Building on January 6.

The FBI's New York office has confirmed the arrest of Lang at his home in Newburgh.

On his Instagram account, @realjakelang, Lang posted several photos of himself in Washington D.C. among the crowd assembled outside of the Capitol. He also posted a video of himself, face bloodied, saying, “I ain’t done yet,” into the camera. The camera then pans to the Capitol Building’s front steps where the crowd appears to be engaged in a violent standoff with authorities.

Lang is the son of Sari Lang of West Palm Beach, FL and Ned Lang of Narrowsburg, NY.

In another social media post, which has been screen-captured and shared by other users, Lang accuses the Capitol City police of murder.

“This is an act of war by tyrants against the American people,” Lang wrote. “This is only the beginning.”

Other screen-captured posts show Lang much closer to the entrance to the Capitol, in the thick of the chaotic scene.

In the days following the Capitol storming, multiple social media accounts and websites identified Lang, as part of an ongoing effort to gather information about those who stormed the Capitol and report it to the FBI.

Lang's Facebook account features one video—posted January 6 at 7:44 a.m.—of Lang riding in a car and saying “MAGA morning,” and chanting, “It ain’t over yet.” The same post also contains a video of President Donald Trump superimposed in front of a body of water, with the reflection of a lion in the water. Lang's face also appears as the "admin" profile picture on a social media platform called Liberty Centric, which advertises itself as a "new, decentralized social media platform" with "no more fact-checking" or censorship.

One of Lang's posts on Liberty Centric reads, "Patriots are what makes America so great!!"

The River Reporter attempted to contact Lang for comment but received no response.
